NorthICE didn't start in a boardroom. It started around campfires, on fishing docks at dawn, and beside coolers that never stayed cold long enough.

We're two friends who grew up in Canada's outdoors—and as we got older, those adventures evolved into cottage weekends, backcountry trips, and backyard gatherings with our own families. But one frustrating ritual never changed: the mandatory ice run.

Every trip started the same way: Buy a bag of ice...watch it melt faster than expected...dig through soggy food and floating drinks and then buy another bag. By Sunday, the cooler was a mess, the ice was gone, and another pile of single-use plastic hit the trash.

It felt wasteful. Outdated. Like a problem that should've been solved decades ago.

So we built the solution.
